I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.

Former twice unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually happening.
